The Saline County Office of Emergency Communications 9-1-1 services were established in 1987 for the benefit, health and welfare of our county residents. The Office of Emergency Communications (OEC) serves as the vital link between the citizens and public safety agencies of our county. The main objective of the OEC is to strive to collect and disseminate all requests for service in a prompt, courteous, and efficient manner for all our citizens. Through their actions, they help save lives, protect property and assist the public in their time of need.
The Office of Emergency Communications is the 9-1-1 dispatch center for the Saline County Sheriff's Office, Haskell Police and Fire Departments, Shannon Hills Police and Fire Departments, Alexander Police and Fire Departments, Bauxite Police and Fire Departments, as well as 13 other Volunteer Fire Departments.
The communications center is located in the heart of Saline County, and staff members are standing by for calls 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
One function our center supports is Smart911, which is a service allowing you to create an account and provide information that could help save time for the call taker as well as responders in a situation where you call 911.
