Saline County was designated as a regulated small Phase II MS4 (Municipal Separate Storm Water Sewer System) in 2008 due to its population growth, and therefore must comply in accordance with the provisions of the Arkansas Water and Air Pollution Control Act (Act 472 of 1949, as amended, Ark. Code Ann. 8-4-101 et seq.), and the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. 1251 et seq.). The Saline County Stormwater Management Plan has been written to include all requirements set forth and in accordance with NPDES Permit No.: ARR 040000 – Authorization to Discharge under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System and the Arkansas Water and Air Pollution Control Act.

The Saline County Regional Sold Waste Management District is having a Household Hazardous Waste Event on Saturday, October 13, from 8am till 11am. It is being held at the Saline County Fairgrounds.

The following items will be accepted at the event:


  1. Household hazardous waste
  2. Light bulbs.
  3. Batteries
  4. Bicycles
  5. Gently used furniture
  6. Clothing
  7. Windows (double pane)
  8. Working appliances


The District reserves the right to refuse any items, and if so, you will be responsible for the disposal. No commercial haulers are allowed.
