Visit the Saline County Collector website at  www.salinecollector.ar.gov for in-depth county tax information, paying taxes on line, locations, Veteran’s information and much more.

Welcome to the Collector’s information page.  We are here to assist you with your tax questions and concerns and to  make paying your taxes as easy as possible.  You may begin paying your taxes on March 1 and we can receive your payment without penalties until October 15.  The no cost option to making your payment(s) is to mail us a check for the amount on your statement, or you may use our convenient on line payment option.  However the on-line option does charge a portal fee that will be added to your debit or credit card transaction.  The collector’s office does not receive any portion of this fee.  We encourage you to mail in your check before October to avoid any penalties or card fees.

IMPORTANT NOTICES
1. Taxes are due March 1 (or first business day of March) and all taxes are delinquent after October 15.

2.  Arkansas State Law § 26-35-601 requires that all personal property taxes be collected with or before real estate taxes.

3.  Partial payments for current taxes are accepted.  Partial payments will first be applied to personal property taxes followed by real estate taxes.  Any amount due that remains unpaid as of October 15 will become delinquent with a 10% penalty.

4.  A $350 homestead real estate property tax credit is available each year when the tax payer registers with the county assessor (303.5625) proof of eligibility for the tax credit.

5.  Arkansas State Law enables people who are 65 years of age or older, or who are disabled, to freeze the value of their homestead so long as it is used as their primary place of residence.  In order to fill out the paperwork for this freeze, contact the Assessor’s office at 303.5625.

6.  In November 2006, Saline County voters approved a $5 per parcel voluntary tax to be applied to each real estate property tax bill.  The net collection of these voluntary taxes shall be used solely to finance the acquisition, construction and maintenance of any emergency warning system for Saline County.  This includes, but is not limited to, sirens, emergency warning radios, computers and related equipment, software and automated activating devices, and the repair and replacement on an as needed basis.  If you wish to contribute to this fund, please pay your bottom line “Total with Voluntary” amount.

7. In January 2013 the Saline County Quorum Court passed an ordinance levying an annual voluntary tax in the amount of $5.00 on every tax statement for real property in Saline County for the purpose of financing animal control services in Saline County.  The net collections of the voluntary tax shall be placed in a fund to be known as the “Animal Control Fund.”  These funds shall be used solely to finance the establishment, acquisition, construction, operation and maintenance of animal control services for the County.  These services may include, but are not limited to, the acquisition or construction of facilities, equipment, personnel, training, operation and maintenance.

Payment by credit card and e-check will be accepted in person, by phone or via Internet at www.salinecollector.ar.gov. (A processing fee for this service will apply.)
