Saline County Judge Issues Burn Ban

Benton, Arkansas, November 27, 2017 - Saline County Judge Jeff Arey has issued a countywide, court ordered burn ban for Saline County.

Due to extremely dry weather conditions and the increase in probability for wildfires, a ban on open burning has been issued to protect lives and property.

This ban prohibits all controlled bums, burn barrels, open fires in campfire rings and burn pits. While outdoor cooking in enclosed charcoal or gas grills is permitted, citizens are urged to maintain supervision of these activities at all times.

The ban will remain in effect until further notice.
