The 16th Annual CADC Single Parent Scholarship Fund Picnic, hosted by Saline County Judge Jeff Arey, was a great success! The weather that seemed to pose a threat, held off and it was a beautiful day for all who came out. The silent auction was set up inside the courthouse, it was a little tight but it did not seem to bother the bidders.

There was over $12,000.00 raised for this event and we would like to thank all our sponsors, vendors, volunteers and everyone who came out and ate with us. The food, donated by several businesses in Saline County turned out great.

This is a great event that gives single parents a hand up, when they need it. This scholarship helps pay for things out of the norm like, gas, books, tires or other needs that might arise during their semester. These scholarships are not just handed out, but given when the need arises and for that specific need.
