Sec. 62-1. Unsafe driving.
(a) Any person who operates any motor vehicle on any street, alley, highway, public parking lot or in any area where the public is invited, in such manner as to indicate an unsafe or hazardous disregard for his safety or the safety of any other person whether it be a passenger, a pedestrian or or operator of another motor vehicle or property, shall be guilty of the offense of unsafe driving and punished as provided in section 1-9.
(b) For the purposes of this section, the work "operate" means driving or being in actual physical control of a motor vehicle upon a street, alley, highway, public parking lot or any area where the public is invited.
